2021 BMW X5 vs 2020 BMW X5

Serving Utica, NY

As you explore the luxury crossover models that offer three rows of seating, the BMW X5 may quickly come into focus. The X5 has consistently been a superior option that has impressed Utica’s drivers, and it will impress you regardless of whether you choose the 2020 or 2021 version. Both of these model years are a part of the X5’s fourth generation, and they are offered in several exciting trim levels. However, the 2020 and 2021 model years have a few differences that could steer your selection.

Performance

The four trim levels that are available for the 2020 BMW X5 carry up to the 2021 model year without changes. They are powered by either a turbo V8 engine or a turbo I-6, 3.0-liter engine, and they are linked to a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive drivetrain. For 2021, a new plug-in hybrid variation will be available. This will pair an electric motor with an I-6 engine.

Appearance

The 2020 and 2021 X5 are identical visually across their comparable trims. With crisp personality lines running across the hood and edging through the side panels, the X5 has a stunning presence on the road. The multi-elemental LED headlights that flank the sectioned grille are placed over a four-bulb light system. Additionally, the X5 could come with heated side mirrors, defined rocker panels, a powered liftgate, and accent vents near the front fenders.

Features

The interior of the X5 is stunning with comparable styling and features for both model years. The large display screen that floats in front of the dashboard controls the ambient light system, sound system, smart device integration, and other equipment. The X5 also has leather material, a digital cockpit display screen, a multi-zone climate management system, a keyless ignition, and many other preferred items. Because the features vary slightly across the X5’s trim levels, a thorough comparison at our dealership is an important step in your shopping experience.

Are you eager to experience the difference in the X5’s performance abilities across the 2020 and 2021 trim lines?
